Both nic's are working but switching I need simultaneous connections.By Michael Bose How to Run Linux on Hyper-V? Hi as above I need to have simultaneous network connections on two network cards in Windows 10. One Nic is onboard other is PCI.

I've also tried NoMachine (NX protocol), but it has the same resolution issue as Hyper-V client.Īnd Hyper-V and VirtualBox cannot be run simultaneously. I've tried installing XRDP on Linux VM, it gives me full 4K resolution but visual response is very slow and stutters, especially when dragging or re-sizing a window or scrolling a webpage (used it with Xvnc option only). Hyper-V client severely limits screen resolution on Linux guest and on 4K screen is simply unusable. However, running Linux guests is difficult. Windows 10 Pro comes with Hyper-V and I'm very happy with its performance (it is Type 1 hypervisor after all). so i cannot (and do not want to) simply jump ship and leave Linux behind. Since I run Linux for many years, my digital life is very Linux dependent: my video and photo libraries are Linux based, my netwok shares are NFS shares, etc.

Setting up my new laptop with Windows 10, I realized that I've forgotten a lot of things about MS windows and decided to give Windows another chance. I also used OpenSUSE as my primary OS for many years, only switching to MS Windows (or running MS Windows in Virtualbox) for some windows only applications. I've recently got a myself a laptop with 4K display, so scaling (HiDPI) is an absolute necessity for it to be usable.
